OVNIS

OVNIS – a realistic simulation platform for VANETs

OVNIS — Online Vehicular Network Integrated Simulation — is a simulation platform for vehicular network applications. OVNIS simulates both wireless communication between cars and their realistic mobility by integrating a network simulator ns-3 and a traffic microsimulator SUMO. Both simulators are bi-directionally coupled so that it is possible to change the mobility of vehicles based on information received from the network.

TrafficEQ
Cars collect traffic information packets broadcasted by other cars via DSRC standard. Based on received traffic information, each car evaluate traffic condition and chooses the optimal route.
